Erica Fanning Interiors recently completed a full interior renovation of an Inner Sydney residence, transforming the kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, and window treatments throughout the home.

The brief was clear: create a cohesive, timeless interior that feels warm, functional, and easy to live in.

Before & After: A Complete Interior Transformation

Before, the home – being a terrace – is narrow in width and with a central staircase and plent of load bearing walls, it felt quite disconnected. The kitchen lacked space and flow and was very closed off to the two living spaces and water views. The bathrooms were dated and sterile, and inconsistent finishes disrupted the overall feel of the home.

After, with the removal of walls, the extension of the kitchen into the walkway and a refresh throghout,  the interiors now feel unified and considered. The kitchen was redesigned with a focus on layout, opening it up to the living spaces, and creating a space that one would actually want to cook in. The bathrooms and ensuite were reworked to feel calm and contemporary, with finishes chosen for longevity and balance. New flooring throughout the home created continuity, while updated window treatments softened natural light and improved privacy.

We liaised with Trades throughout the project from concept through to completion, including:
